This decorative piece is formed from a smooth white stoneware, with sand . It is coil built, formed by layering hand-rolled coils of clay to shape the vessel gradually by hand. The inside is glazed in a thin, translucent but creamy, white. The outside is left unglazed so the piece retains the raw surface of the clay, allowing the material itself to remain the primary expression of form. Designed to anchor a space as a larger sculptural presence.
The Cove collection explores mass and void through grounded, substantial forms. Mostly solid exteriors are punctuated by a single central opening, while surfaces retain the organic marks of hand and process. The collection emphasizes material weight and sculptural presence, allowing the aperture and textured surfaces to shape how the work interacts with light, shadow, and space.
